I come from a health-policy and medical-reporting background. I want to be clear about one thing up front: I am not a physician, and nothing I write is medical advice. My job is to report on health accurately, not to practice it.

I lead with what is actually known, separate from what is still being studied, and I name the specific study or institution behind a claim rather than saying experts say. If the evidence is thin, I say the evidence is thin.

I am in my mid-thirties and have covered health and medical research since 2018.
